Installation Instructions:
- Start by removing the front number plate from your motorcycle.
- Carefully cut away any cable ties holding the start and stop switch cables on the handlebars. Unscrew the clamps and let them hang freely.
- Locate the switch connector on the bike. It is often located near the steering head on the chassis, but sometimes it can be under the tank.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the switch, noting how the cables are routed for future installation.
- Clean the connector with a contact cleaner, such as Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
- Loosely attach the new switch on the handlebars in the desired position.
- Route the cables as on the old switch and connect the connector.
- Check that there is enough slack in the cables by turning the handlebars to full extension. Adjust if the cables are pulled too tight.
- Reattach the cable ties to keep the cables in place and prevent them from being damaged by roost. Place the cables behind the handlebars to avoid unnecessary damage.
- Reattach the number plate on your motorcycle.
