Polyester 1000D is a type of fabric made of polyester where "1000D" indicates the thickness of the thread used for its manufacture. This material is much thicker than fabrics with lower "D" designations and is characterized by high durability and strength. In the Hiker IV jacket it is used in all areas that are most exposed to injury in the event of an accident.
Polyester 450D is a material with good strength, often used in the manufacture of outdoor and technical clothing where strength is important, but where a very thick material is not required. In the Hiker IV jacket, it is used in places that are not so prone to injuries in the event of an accident, and contributes to comfort and freedom of movement.
The well thought out combination of these materials makes the jacket exceptionally comfortable, while being safe and resistant to abrasion and demolition.
