The predecessor to Hixon II was launched as early as 2016 and was for many years a real best seller. The updated version has retained the soft and compliant skin, but added new improvements. The Hixon II includes D3O® protection for both shoulders and elbows. Merlin has revised the fit and extended the jacket a bit, added more ventilation points and updated design details. Outer material in waxed 1.2-1.3mm nut leather and fixed mesh lining for increased breathability. Removable 100g quilted heat lining and British Marton Mills® Shotbown fabric. Buttons and zippers in silver from YKK®. D3O® LP1 Axle and elbow protection and back protection pocket adapted for D3O® Viper stealth. Approved according to standard EN17092 Level 'AA'. Two side pockets with zipper and leather tugs, storage in solid lining and storage pocket on removable lining. Two front ventilation panels and three rear. Quilted lots on shoulder and lumbar and flap over the bottom of centered zippa in the front area. Adjustable points at the end of the jacket, Merlin-embossed details foldable barrel for warmer conditions. Connected short zipper for trousers, as well as euro-hoop clutch strap.
